Customer Visit at PHS during ITMA at 17. September 2007

As already mentioned in other news letters Power-Heat-Set did present a completely new heat set process for the carpet industry at the ITMA 2007 in Munich. After more than four years of developmental effort and work we had been able to show the new compact Heatsetting Process. But already in the forefront and around the show, we had a lot of things going on, we invited all our partners and agents for a training at our showroom, we brought many customers during the show to our company to give them a full presentation, we organized sightseeing tours and we offered Bavarian specalities all the time.

Introduction

Heatsetting is a term used in the textile industry to describe a thermal process taking place mostly in either a steam atmosphere, dry heat or contact heat. The effect of this process gives fibers, yarns and fabrics dimensional stability and often other desirable attributes, such as higher volume, wrinkle resistance and increased temperature resistance. Very often, heatsetting is also used for improving the yarns' attributes for subsequent processes. Heatsetting is used for the production of woolen yarns or sewing threads and to a great extent for the production of carpet yarns.
