Power-Heat-Set machines are installed all over the world. That is why the company language is English. In order to work for Power-Heat-Set it is a prerequisite to have a solid knowledge of Business English and to gradually build on this knowledge.
Our manager know that it is not easy to work full-time and attend further training in the evening. Therefore he decided to organise an CCI in-house training course held in the company. For a trimester the staff members were trained in Business English every Thursday for three hours.
The staff members were enthusiastic with the native speaker Julie who taught interesting and relaxed lessons. Amongst other things they were trained in:
- grammar
- telephoning
- emailing
- business letters
- looking after visitors
- pronunciation
- intercultural awareness
The staff members agreed that they learned a lot. They did not find it stressful but in fact they enjoyed the in-house training . A secondary effect of the trimester was that the team spirit increased because of the shared training.
