Tightening a single rope
1. After both hexagonal socket head screws have been loosened then the rope with the roller is released.
2. In order to tighten the rope the roller is pushed upwards and the hexagonal socket head screw is tightened again
3. The tension of the rope has to be checked before the second hexagonal socket head screw can be tightened.
Tightening or relaxing all ropes
1. In order to relax the ropes the crank needs to be turned in counter-clockwise direction until the ropes are relaxed.
2. In order to tighten the ropes the crank needs to be turned clockwise until the ropes are tightened.
Alternative way: Tightening or relaxing all ropes
1. Another way to relax or tighten all four ropes is to turn the the gold-colored nut.
2. Furthermore, you can change the length of the mast in larger steps by changing the position of part 8 of the picture below to another hole.
Normally the machine is delivered with part 8 in the second hole.
